Black day observed in AJK against Indian occupation

MUZAFFARABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Oct, 2023) People of Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) observed Black Day on Friday against 76 years of Indian Illegal military occupation of Jammu and Kashmir.

On this occasion, a rally named "Indian Army Withdrawal" was organized under the aegis of Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir in front of press club here which was participated by hundreds of people.

Rally was led by Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Uzair Ahmed Ghazali, Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Usman Ali Hashim, Shaukat Javed Mir, Javed Ahmed Mughal, Dr. Muhammad Manzoor, Khalid Mehmood Zaidi, Khawaja Muhammad Sadiq, Ishaq Shaheen, Ali Muhammad Butt, Chaudhary Ismail, Muhammad Mushtaq Chaudhary, Alif Din Dar and others.

While addressing the rally, the speakers said that on October 27, 1947, India occupied Jammu and Kashmir against the will of the Kashmiri people and created an atmosphere of lawlessness and violence in South Asia, especially in Kashmir.

They said that India's occupation of the state was a clear violation of the United Nations Security Council resolutions.

The UNSC has passed a dozen of resolutions for referendum in Jammu and Kashmir as a political solution of the state, but unfortunately, this supreme body has completely failed to implement these resolutions.

Speakers at a recent event said that the Kashmiri people have been fighting for their freedom and right to self-determination for the last 76 years. They added that India has failed to crush the Kashmiri freedom struggle through military repression, atrocities, terrorism, black laws, mock military encounters, military sieges, and crackdowns.

The speakers further said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir will continue their movement for freedom from Indian occupation.

Speakers appealed the United Nations to ensure the implementation of the resolutions passed for a free, fair and impartial Plebiscite for the just solution of Kashmir issue.

The speakers said that India should know that its occupation on Kashmir will never be accepted.
