Chief Minister Punjab Buzdar Vows To Construct Mini Dams In Southern Punjab

Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar Wednesday vowed that mini dams would be constructed in southern Punjab for preventing floods in the hill torrents.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Sep, 2018 ) :Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar Wednesday vowed that mini dams would be constructed in southern Punjab for preventing floods in the hill torrents.
The chief minister said that planning of preventive measures for coping with natural disasters was necessary in the prevailing climatic scenario.
In a meeting with Chief Executive Officer (CEO) National Disaster Risk Management Fund (NDRMF) Lt Gen (R) Nadeem Ahmed, the chief minister lauded the role of NDRMF in emergency situations.
He said that Punjab government would fully cooperate with NDRMF for coping with floods and other natural calamities.
He said that official files were timely disposed of in the chief minister's office. "We are here to work and will do our duties efficiently", he added.
Lt Gen (R) Nadeem Ahmed congratulated Sardar Usman Buzdar on holding the portfolio of chief minister and said that NDRMF was working in 50 districts including southern Punjab for the eradication of natural calamities. He said that NDRMF would also cooperate with the Punjab government for dealing with natural calamities and ensuring timely initiatives to amicably deal with any emergency situation.
