CM directs completing of missing facilities in education institutions

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 05th Oct, 2016 ) : Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has directed concerned authorities to monitor resources being provided to public sector schools for provision of missing facilities and raising the standard of education.

He was addressing the participants of a meeting of education on stock take at Chief Minister House here on Wednesday. Chairman PTI Imran Khan, Additional Chief Secretary, Azam Khan, head of strategic support unit Sahibzada Saeed and others attended.

The participants of the meeting were also given a presentation on the stock take of education department. The participants were informed that all Higher Secondary Schools had been provided missing facilities and furniture while work on Primary and middle schools was in full swing and entire process would be completed in 2018.

Chief Minister directed against the misuse of resources and asked for the expeditious spending of resources on the construction work and other missing facilities in public sector schools.

He directed to ensure that all facilities including the additional rooms and boundary walls were constructed as per designs.

He hoped that the parent's teachers committee would ensure transparent utilization of funds in their respective schools. He said that government has already planned recruitment on merit through National Testing Service (NTS) and recruited teachers would be kept in same school with giving promotion there.

He said that merit based approach for recruitment would ensure that only deserving would get employment. He directed teachers to perform their responsibilities with dedication and devotion to enhance standard of education in public sector educational institutions. APP/mds/adn
