LODHRAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Oct, 2025) Deputy Commissioner Dr. Lubna Nazir paid visit to the Punjab Enforcement Regulatory Authority (PERA) headquarters in Lodhran, marking a significant milestone in the operationalization of the PERA Force in the district.
Upon her arrival, the national anthem was played, and a smartly turned-out contingent of the PERA Force presented a guard of honour to the Deputy Commissioner. She was accompanied by Sub-Divisional Enforcement Officer, Malik Mazhar Abbas Raan.
During the visit, three Enforcement Officers and two Investigation Officers formally assumed their duties, completing the PERA Force setup in Lodhran. Dr. Nazir commended the initiative, stating that the establishment of the PERA Force was a commendable step taken by Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
“The PERA Force will play a vital role in eliminating encroachments, monitoring prices, retrieving state land, and addressing other regulatory matters,” she said. Dr. Nazir emphasized that the officers and staff must perform their duties with integrity, impartiality, and professionalism, ensuring no injustice is done to anyone.
She added that the issues faced by the PERA Force will be resolved on a priority basis and that its effective functioning will bring visible improvements in public service delivery. Citizens were encouraged to cooperate with the PERA Force in enhancing the district's cleanliness and beauty.
Later, the DC also held individual meetings with PERA officers.
