Girls outshine boys in HSSC annual examination 2016

RAWALPINDI,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -17th Sept,2016) : Girls once again outsmarted boys in the Higher Secondary school Certificate (HSSC) annual examination 2016 held under Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (RBISE).

According to the result announced here on Saturday by RBISE Controller Examination, Abid Hussain Kharal, Yusra Bint e Hafeez daughter of Hafeez Akhtar, from Pre-Medical Group for Girls, Roll No.

718704, student of Punjab College for Women Satellite Town Rawalpindi bagged overall top position with A-1 grade in the board by obtaining 1041 marks. The overall second position was clinched by Nimra Mumtaz daughter of Mumtaz Hassan Khan, Pre-Medical Group for Girls, Roll No.

706663, of Munir Intermediate Girls College Mohalla Line Park Chakwal as she got 1040 marks with A-1 grade. The overall third position was grabbed by Maleeka Zamurad Khan daughter of Muhammad Zamurad Khan, Pre-Medical Group, Girls, Roll No.

706541, belonging to Punjab College for Girls Chakwal, obtaining 1034 marks with A-1 grade. According to the result in Pre-Medical Group, Boys, Farhan Ahmed son of Muhammad Ayyaz, Roll No. 729152, of Punjab College of Information Technology, S-Town, Rawalpindi, secured 1014 marks to remain on top with A-1 grade.

He was followed by Ali Raza son of Bashir Ahmed, Roll No. 710715 student of Fauji Foundation Higher Secondary School for Boys Talagang, Chakwal, who secured 1012 with A-1 grade and remained on second position.

Third position was grabbed by Shoaib Falak Sher son of Falak Sher, of Cadet College Hassanabdal, Attock, Roll No 703621 with 1010 marks and A-1 grade. According to the result of Pre-Engineering Group, Girls, Mahnoor Mahmood daughter of Mumtaz Iqbal Mahmood, student of Jinnah Institute of Informatics for Girls Satellite Town, Rawalpindi, Roll No.

733559, got first position with 1025 marks and A-1 grade. Rimsha Tariq daughter of Tariq Mehmood, Roll No. 719351, of Punjab College for Women F-828 S-Town, Rawalpindi secured 1021 marks with A-1 grade and stood at second position while Maria Tariq daughter of Muhammad Tariq Khan from Punjab College for Women, S-Town Rawalpindi got third position in the group with 1019 marks and A-1 grade.

Similarly, in Pre-Engineering Group for Boys, Muhammad Hanzla Aslam son of Muhammad Aslam, Roll No. 727863, from Jinnah Institute of Informatics, S-Town, Rawalpindi got first position with 1018 marks and A-1 grade.

Fahad Khan son of Abdul Malik, Roll No. 703643, student of Cadet College Hassan Abdal, Attock secured 1010 marks with A-1 grade and stood at second position. Rao Maaz Bin Khalid son of Rao Khalid Taskeen, Roll No.

703656, from Cadet College Hassanabdal, Attock got third position with 1002 marks and A-1 grade. In Science General Group for Girls, Sara Afzal daughter of Muhammad Afzal, from Punjab College for Women S-Town, Rawalpindi, Roll No.

719665, secured first position with 993 marks. Bushra Ahmed daughter of Mushtaq Ahmed, Roll No 719594, from Punjab College for Women S-Town, Rawalpindi grabbed second position with 965 marks while third position was clinched by Komal Fayyaz daughter of Sheikh Fayyaz Ahmed, from Punjab College for Women S-Town Rawalpindi, Roll No.

719581 as she secured 960 marks. In Science General Group for Boys, Muhammad Haseeb son of Chaudhary Allah Ditta, student of Millitary College Murree, attained first position by getting 987 marks.

Rehan Amin son of Muhammad Amin, Roll No. 734141, from Punjab Colelge Main G.T.Road Gujar Khan, secured second position with 972 marks while Zeeshan Alam son of Zafar Iqbal, Roll No. 711588, from Kallar Kahar Science College for Boys secured third position with 966 marks.

In Commerce Group for Girls, Nageen Gul daughter of Malik Gulfraz Ikram, student of Punjab College for Women Main G.

T.Road Gujar Khan got 959 marks to bag first position. Rida Fatima Tanveer daughter of Raja Tanveer Akram, Punjab College for Women Main G.T.Road Gujar Khan, Roll No.

734379 attained second position by getting 931 marks while Shiza Arif daughter of Arif Javed, Roll No. 719832, got 924 marks and bagged third position in the group. In Commerce Group for Boys, Hassan Sheikh son of Shahzad Pervaiz Sheikh, Roll No.

730737, student of Punjab College of Information Technology Satellite Town, Rawalpindi got 934 marks and stood at first position. Akbar Hassan son of Gul Hassan Shah, Roll No. 727970, from Jinnah Institute of Informatics Satellite Town Rawalpindi secured second position with 933 marks.

Zeeshan Khan son of Humayun Iqbal Khan, Roll No. 730738, student of Punjab College of Information Technology Satellite Town Rawalpindi got third position with 931 marks. Mahnoor Nadeem Roll No.

717367, Sheeba Kainat Roll No. 702703 and Ushna Umar, Roll No. 723750 from Humanities Group for Girls secured first, second and third positions with 930, 925 and 908 marks respectively. Similarly, Sharjeel Mustafa, Roll No.

715051, Shoaib Ahmed, Roll No. 726078 and Omair Karamat Roll No. 726070 stood at first, second and third positions with 841, 828 and 825 marks respectively. Punjab Minister for Labour and Human Resource, Raja Ashfaq Sarwar was the chief guest on the occasion who after the result congratulated the top position holders and all the successful candidates and also distributed cash prizes and medals among the position holders.

Addressing the participants, he urged the students to concentrate hard on their studies. "Only and only education should be the main goal of the students before entering into professional life and joining other fields," he added.

He said, the Punjab government is giving priority to the education and taking its responsibility and patronizing the talented students. Ashfaq Sarwar said Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif believes that the fate of the country cannot be changed without progress in the education field.

Chairman, RBISE Dr. Muhammad Zareef also congratulated the position holder students and their parents and said the board is making all out efforts to prepare error free results. Control Examination Abid Hussain Kharal on the occasion informed that out of total enrolled 60061 students, 58755 including 35455 regular and 23300 private students appeared in the examination.

The overall pass percentage remained 56.96. Total 25113 candidates failed in the exams. The pass percentage of regular candidates remained 69.5 while the pass percentage of private candidates remained only 37.85 per cent.

Total 25020 male and 35041 female students appeared in the exams while pass percentage of male remained 49.7 and female 62.01. HSSC annual examination 2016 result declaration and prize distribution ceremony was held here in the auditorium of government Wiqar un Nisa College for Women.

MPA, Raja Hanif Advocate, PML-N leaders, Ramesh Singh Arora, Dr. Jamal Nasir, Sardar Naseem, Chairman RBISE Dr. Muhammad Zareef, Controller Examination Abid Hussain Kaharal, Secretary Board Rana Javed and others were present on the occasion.

Later talking to the media, top position holder students said their success is the result of the prayers of their parents and hard work of their teachers.
