Govt To Take Action Against Miscreants For Vandalizing Public Property

ISLAMABAD, Nov 3 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Nov, 2018 ) :The Fedral Government on Saturday decided to take action against the miscreants who had vandalized public property during the two-day protest in various cities of the country.
According to religious scholars, vandalism was done by miscreants who were not part of their ranks, the Ministry of Interior, in a statement here, said.
Minister of State for Interior Shehryar Khan Afridi was given a detailed briefing by different agencies on the situation.
The statement said the Cyber Wing of Federal Investigation Agency and the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority were reviewing the inflammatory content on social media.
Both the agencies had been directed to obtain forensic data of miscreants as action would be taken against those who were spreading contents based on hate and violence.
Details of damages had also been sought from Punjab government and other institutions, it added.
The Interior Ministry had also asked for CCTV footages of the people involved in damage to the public property. The elements would be identified through footages and arrests would be made, the statement said.
