LAHORE- (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-19th March, 2019) JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman has announced Islamabad lockdown after a meeting of party’s central executive council on Tuesday.
He, however, has failed to give any date for the protest and said the decision will be announced after consultation with the Jamaat-e-Islami.
The JUI-F chief criticized the PTI government for what he called Imran Khan’s pro-Jewish and anti-Islam policies. He said the government failed to provide any relief to the common man.
He said the country’s economy had collapsed, inflation went out of control and people were worried about the future. He criticized the government for conducting crackdown against religious seminaries. He said the operation against Madaris was not acceptable to his party and it would be resisted. Maulana Fazl said the religious seminaries were the protectors of ideological boundaries of the country.
Meanwhile, Jamaat-e-Islami has decided to stay away from any kind of agitation politics and focus on organization matters.
