
Multan Corps Organizes All Pakistan Squash Championship

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th August, 2016) : Multan Corps organized All Pakistan Azadi Squash Championship to mark Independence Day celebration with enthusiasm. Competitions in different categories including seniors, under-19 and under-13 were organized at Squash Court of MGM and Multan Golf Course, said a release issued by ISPR here on Saturday.
Ammad Fareed won the Azadi Championship after thrilling contests while Tayyib Aslam remained runner-up. In under-19 category, Mansoor Zaman remained winner while Abbas was runner.
Similarly, in under-13, the victory goes to Asadullah while Fawad stood second.
Two players namely Bilal and Muhammad Zahid were declared best emerging players in South Punjab. Internationally renowned and legend player Jahangir Khan and Corps commander Multan Lt Gen Ashfaq Nadeem Ahmed were chief guest in the concluding ceremony.
Squash Icon Jahangir Khan awarded prizes amongst the players. A good number of citizens and Squash players were also present in the prize distribution ceremony.
