SEF's 2000 Schools Provide Education To Chidren: Minister Told

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Dec, 2017 ) :Sindh Minister for Education and Literacy Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar was told that over 2000 schools are working under Sindh Education Foundation and over half a million students were getting quality education in these institutions.
This was said by Managing Director SEF Naheed Shah Durrani while talking to the Education Minister at his office here on Wednesday, said a statement. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that getting education is a fundamental right of every child and Sindh Education Department is fully committed to ensure that access to quality education to all the children in Sindh.
The role of Sindh Education Foundation (SEF) in spreading education to deserving students in remote areas is very important, he said.
Jam Mehtab asked MD SEF to take drastic measures to contain drop out ratio and adopt a multi dimensional approach to provide education to adults and adolescents under Non- Formal Education Program.
He added, work should be done on emergency basis to implement policies and the schools under SEF should work in two shifts as number of students are increasing. He said that Sindh government had taken many reforms which had yielded good results, adding that with implementation of Public Private Partnership we could get better results.
