Spl Assistant Summons Administrator On Poor Sanitation Condition

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23th August, 2016) :Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh for Human Rights Rehana Laghari took notice of poor condition of sewerage, roads, and lack of street lights in many areas of district east and summoned Administrator East Shafiqur Rehman at her office on Tuesday. Talking to Administrator, Ms.
Rehana Laghari expressed her displeasure on the performance of District Municipal Administration East and added that Sindh Government has released billions of rupees for the development of Karachi, however situation is unsatisfactory, said a statement.
She said that after short spell of recent rain, the condition of sewerage and roads was very poor in many areas of districts east.
"Lack of street lights is also caused problems for dwellers, she added.
She directed the Administrator East to take measures for the improvement of sanitation system, condition of roads and install street lights are required on urgent basis. On the occasion, the Administrator East told that development work is in progress and situation will improve soon and added that on the instruction of Sindh Minister for Local Government, latest dust bin were being installed in different areas, however, he said that repair work of roads will be taken up after the monsoon season is over probably in mid of September.
