Task Force conducts grand operation against two illegal housing schemes

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2024) On the directives of the Divisional Intelligence Committee, the Task Force formed to take strict action in accordance with the law against illegal housing schemes is carrying out operations.

The Task Force here on Monday demolished the site office, four check posts, main gate, boundary walls and road infrastructure while carrying out a grand operation against two illegal housing schemes including Faisal Town Phase-II and Pakistan Employees Cooperative Housing Society in Mouza Kolian Per, Pilo and Thalian Rawalpindi.

On the directives of the Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Muhammad Abdul Aamer Khattak, the DG RDA, the DC Rawalpindi and CPO Rawalpindi are supervising operations against illegal housing societies.

The DG RDA Kinza Murtaza said that on the instructions of Commissioner Rawalpindi, grand operations against all illegal societies would continue without any discrimination.

She said that strict action would be taken against the rules violators.

The DG advised the citizens not to invest in illegal housing schemes and to visit the RDA website www.rda.gop.pk to check the status of the housing schemes.

Earlier, notices were issued to the owners and sponsors of the housing schemes to stop illegal advertisements, booking of the plots and development work.

The owners of the illegal housing schemes were running booking offices in violation of the rules.

The operation team including Muhammad Usman Bajwa, Assistant Director Building Control RDA, Mehwish Naseem Assistant Director Planning and the police team from Police Station Dhamial, Naseerabad, RDA Scheme/Building Inspectors, District Administration Representative along with other team members took part in the grand operation.
