Three Days Exhibition Of Calligraphy Continue At RAC

A three days exhibition of calligraphy by famous calligraphist Muhammad Azeem Iqbal is continuing at Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) and will conclude on Thursday
RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Apr, 2019 ) :A three days exhibition of calligraphy by famous calligraphist Muhammad Azeem Iqbal is continuing at Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) and will conclude on Thursday.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Provincial Minister for Literacy & Basic Non Formal education Raja Rashid Hafeez flanked by Naheed Manzoor and Director RAC Waqar Ahmed.
The exhibition comprises of more than fifty calligraphic paintings on Islamic arts in various mediums like leather, wood work, copper and other precious stones.
While addressing on the occasion, Rashid Hafeez said that calligraphy was a tradition of Islamic values and Azeem Iqbal presented the Era of Holy Prophet (PBUH) in his master pieces.
He said, it was a unique art to use similar things which were used to write Holy Quran.
Waqar Ahmed, Director, RAC shed light on the history and importance of calligraphic art with special reference to the work of Azeem Iqbal.
