Aitchison college scored a thumping 6 wicket win over visiting Maldives cricket team in a T20 match here on Tuesday at Aithcison college ground.
LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Oct, 2018 ) :Aitchison college scored a thumping 6 wicket win over visiting Maldives cricket team in a T20 match here on Tuesday at Aithcison college ground.
It was fourth successive defeat of the touring side which is on a training tour of Pakistan to prepare for the coming ACC Trophy to be played in Kuwait. In the opening match NCA development squad beat them by 8 wickets followed by an identical margin defeat at the hands of Pak Lions Club. In the third match Lahore Gymkhana outplayed them by 9 runs.
Batted first Maldives team put up 120 for 7 in allotted 20 overs and the home side answered with 124 for 4 with five balls to go.
The touring side main scorers were Yousaf Azyan (27) Muavith Abdul (21), Mohammad Azam (23).
Aitchison college main wickets were Mian Saif, Muneeb Wasif and Hasnat Abbas who took two wickets each.
Hasnat Abbas (43) and Murtaza Javed (28) led Aitchison college to success with responsible batting and stylish strokes to all parts of the ground for the entertainment of a handful crowd on a bright sunny day.
Final scores, Maldives 120-7 in 20 overs (Muavith Abdul 21, 2x4s, 19 balls, Yousaf Azyan 27, 4x4s, 34 balls, Mohammad Azam 23, 1x4, 26 balls, Mian Saif 2-12, Muneeb Wasif 2-18, Hasnat Abbas 2-26) Aitchison College 124-4 in 19.1 overs (Hasnat Abbas 43, 3x4s, 1x6, 34 balls, Murtaza Javed 28, 4x4s, 32 balls).
