Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan won the toss and opted to bat first in the first Twenty20 international of a three-match series against West Indies at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Monday.

Bangladesh beat West Indies by 2-0 and 2-1 margins in the preceding Test and one-day international series respectively.
