Ajinkya Rahane, on 75, and Rishabh Pant, on 85, were batting at the close of play after putting together a 146-run stand for the fifth wicket.

West Indies skipper Jason Holder took two wickets, including his counterpart Virat Kohli's prized scalp for 45. Earlier, the tourists were bowled out for 311 in the morning session.
