Chinese electronics giant Huawei is going to sue the US government over its ban on the use of the company's products by the US federal agencies, media reported on Monday, citing two sources familiar with the situation

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 04th March, 2019) Chinese electronics giant Huawei is going to sue the US government over its ban on the use of the company's products by the US Federal agencies, media reported on Monday, citing two sources familiar with the situation.

The lawsuit is going to be filed in the Eastern District of the south US state of Texas, where the US headquarters of Huawei is located, The New York Times newspaper said. The lawsuit will be reportedly officially announced later this week.

With this lawsuit Huawei may try to force the US government to make its case against the company more public.

Huawei has recently faced allegations that it had been linked to the Chinese government and even involved in espionage on its behalf, something that the company has vehemently denied.

In mid-August, US President Donald Trump enacted legislation banning the government agencies from using services from Huawei and ZTE, another Chinese company, amid the ongoing scandal.
