Putin Says Talked To US Vice President 'On The Go' In Singapore

Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday he had briefly spoken to US Vice President Mike Pence on the sidelines of the East Asia Summit in Singapore.

SINGAPORE (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 15th November, 2018) Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday he had briefly spoken to US Vice President Mike Pence on the sidelines of the East Asia Summit in Singapore.

"There were many meetings, practically with all the partners: with the Japanese prime minister and with the chair of State Council of China today, and the prime minister of Singapore and with the president of South Korea, and I have just spoken to the US vice president on the go," Putin told reporters.

The president said he had discussed the security issues, including strategic stability, which he described as one of the "key issues," and New START treaty, with Pence.

The president added that it was important for Russia to understand how the situation would unfold regarding the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty.
