Qatar FM To Pay Official Visit Of China: Spokesperson

A Chinese foreign ministry's spokesperson Tuesday said that the Foreign Minister of Qatar Mohammed will pay an official visit of China from December 12 on the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang.

BEIJING, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Dec, 2018 ) :A Chinese foreign ministry's spokesperson Tuesday said that the Foreign Minister of Qatar Mohammed will pay an official visit of China from December 12 on the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang.

"China attaches very high importance to its ties with Qatar and will maintain friendly exchanges with Qatar at all levels," Lu Kang said during his regular press briefing held here.

He said the Chinese side would deepen mutually beneficial cooperation with Qatar under the framework of Belt and Road thus elevating ties to a new level.

The spokesperson informed that in recent years, China and Qatar relations had witnessed a sound momentum of growth. The two countries had established a strategic partnership.

"We have conducted extensive cooperation in energy, economy, culture, investment and finance and both the countries have maintained good communication and coordination on regional and international affairs," he added.

He said this year marked the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
