Russian Accounts Chamber Chairman Alexey Kudrin said he had held a meeting with US Comptroller General Gene Dodaro to discuss the development of cooperation between the auditing bodies of the two countries.
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 15th November, 2018) Russian Accounts Chamber Chairman Alexey Kudrin said he had held a meeting with US Comptroller General Gene Dodaro to discuss the development of cooperation between the auditing bodies of the two countries.
"[I] have met with US Comptroller General Gene Dodaro and discussed [with him] how we will be developing the cooperation between the auditing institutions. The common agenda included strategic audit, digitalization and the use of big data," Kudrin wrote on his Twitter blog on Wednesday evening.
He revealed that the political tensions between the two countries have not been discussed.
The relations between Russia and the United States, which had always been complicated, further deteriorated in 2014 after the Ukrainian crisis' outbreak. The situation became even more complicated after Washington imposed several rounds of sanctions against Russia using various pretexts, including alleged interference in the Ukrainian conflict and meddling in the US election, which were never substantiated with evidence. Russia has repeatedly denied the accusations.
