A Russian An-26 transport aircraft disappeared from radars in the Khabarovsk region with six people on board, a spokesman for emergency services told Sputnik on Wednesday

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 22nd September, 2021) A Russian An-26 transport aircraft disappeared from radars in the Khabarovsk region with six people on board, a spokesman for emergency services told Sputnik on Wednesday.

"The An-26 plane with six crew members on board disappeared from radars 38 kilometers (23 miles) south-west of Khabarovsk," the spokesman said.

A Mi-8 helicopter of the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency will engage in the searches, the spokesman added.

The An-26 aircraft was performing a technical flight to check communications equipment operation.
