ABU DHABI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 06th Jun, 2018) Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) has launched ‘ADNEC Giving’, a charity campaign in line with its celebration of Zayed Humanitarian Work Day, which commemorates the life of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the UAE’s Founding Father, which falls on the 19th day of Ramadan each year.
The campaign will run throughout the holy month and includes a 'breaking the fast' initiative and volunteering programmes at Ramadan tents in the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.
Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Group CEO of ADNEC said: "We have been leading many charitable initiatives and volunteering work throughout the year, but most especially during this auspicious month of Ramadan. Our efforts this time are part of our UAE’s celebration of Zayed Humanitarian Work Day, which is an important national occasion and carries a special significance as we remember Sheikh Zayed on his centennial anniversary, being the founding father and builder of the country’s modern development.
"
The campaign seeks to exemplify Sheikh Zayed’s noble values and principles in nation-building such as tolerance, goodness, co-existence, justice and giving, and humanitarian acts. As part of its commitment to the ‘Year of Zayed’ initiative, ADNEC also aims to provide more than 4,000 iftar meals to workers in the Musaffah area in Abu Dhabi and the industrial zone in Al Ain throughout the season, and engage 70 volunteers to take part in the activities.
