ADEK launches the Private Abu Dhabi Schools System at Gitex Technology Week

Over 25,000 profiles for school teachers, principals, vice principals and education leaders in private schools across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi have been created through a newly launched system called the Private Abu Dhabi Schools System (PASS), announced the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) today, as part of Abu Dhabi governments participation in Gitex Technology Week 2018.

ABU DHABI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 16th Oct, 2018) Over 25,000 profiles for school teachers, principals, vice principals and education leaders in private schools across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi have been created through a newly launched system called the Private Abu Dhabi Schools System (PASS), announced the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) today, as part of Abu Dhabi governments participation in Gitex Technology Week 2018.

PASS, as its name suggests, has been created under the motto ‘every school, every educator deserves to pass.’ In efforts to help facilitate day-to-day functionalities for potential and existing schools and educators, PASS has been integrated with other government entity digital systems, resulting in dropping the number of required documents from 30 to 2, thereby creating a smoother profile and documentation process for schools and educators.

The hassle free digital transformation allows schools to renew their license online much faster, while providing hands-on personal information, data and documentation about all educators working in the private school sector, who can now chose to resign, transfer to another school or request for a promotion with an immediate and accessible click of a button.

Additionally, PASS verifies whether a potential candidate is eligible for a particular position in a particular school, through providing notification to users as per ADEK’s employment eligibility criteria’s (i.e. years of experience, relevant license, specialization, qualifications expected, etc).

ADEK has delivered 15 different workshops for all private schools across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in the past few months in efforts to familiarize them with PASS. Feedback was extremely positive during and after its usage, since teachers can now manage their own profiles. Moreover, teacher profiles are linked with eSIS, thereby creating a full eco-system of teachers and their students.

ADEK is currently in the midst of creating an e-portfolio for teachers, thereby providing information such as the type of courses taken in a particular time span and the individual teacher’s professional development journey, which will be eventually automated.

PASS consists of multiple projects that will continue to be upgraded and improved so that teachers and schools can enjoy an easily accessible platform which can be accessed through pass.adek.abudhabi.ae from any internet browser and any mobile device.
