Minister Of Economy Discusses Economic Cooperation With Czech Ambassador

ABU DHABI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 16th Apr, 2019) Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy, discussed ways of reinforcing the economic and commercial ties between the UAE and the Czech Republic, as well as partnership opportunities and the exchange of expertise between their public and private sectors, to serve their economic goals.
The discussion took place during a meeting between Al Mansouri and Yiri Slavik, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the UAE.
During the meeting, Al Mansouri welcomed Slavik and highlighted the strong bilateral and economic ties between their countries. Both sides also discussed key sectors that could provide promising opportunities for cooperation.
Al Mansouri stated that the UAE is keen to reinforce its partnerships with the world’s new markets while noting that the Czech Republic is a leading economic centre in Eastern Europe, and has a promising economic and industrial environment.
He added that sectors of mutual concern include technology, advanced industries, research and development while highlighting the importance of supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, SME, establishing partnerships, and developing innovative solutions in the areas of renewable energy, water, the green economy, infrastructure, transport, logistical services and healthcare.
Slavik pointed out that the bilateral and economic ties between the two countries have witnessed growth, and praised the ongoing developments while highlighting his country’s keenness to strengthen the overall cooperation between the two countries.
He said that the Czech Republic has leading expertise in many areas of modern development, especially related to innovation and research and development while stressing his country’s keenness to benefit from the UAE’s expertise.
He also confirmed his country’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai, and stressed its importance as a global platform for encouraging commercial and investment cooperation opportunities with the UAE and the region while noting the growing presence of Czech companies in exhibitions and economic and commercial events in the UAE.
