Mothers Are Role Models, Cornerstone Of Community: Sheikha Fatima

Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, congratulated Emirati women and all mothers around the world, who raise their children with correct values and ethics.

In a speech marking Mother's Day, celebrated in the Arab world on 21st March, Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak said, "The mother is a role model and a cornerstone of the community."

"In the UAE, we aim to prepare mothers to correctly raise a community that can lead the country and its development, supported by our religion and the directives of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan," Her Highness added.

"During Mother's Day, we would like to express our respect and appreciation to the mothers of the nation's martyrs, and we would like to salute them, as they are models of pride, patriotism and determination," Sheikha Fatima continued.

Her Highness went on to say, "We expect mothers, the nurturers of future generations, to raise their children and families rightly, and to be role models for their sons and daughters.

"As we celebrate Mother's Day, we would like to congratulate all mothers, while also noting the difficulties and challenges they face when raising their children," she stressed.

Sheikha Fatima concluded her statement by congratulating all mothers and called on them to continue protecting their children and raising them correctly.
