Sandooq Al Watan, ADNOC Celebrate 1st Batch Of 500 Graduates From ‘UAE Coder’ Programme In Al Dhafra

Sandooq Al Watan, the national initiative launched by prominent Emirati businessmen to support sustainable development projects that directly impact the UAE and its citizens, organised a graduation ceremony for the first batch of 500 students from the Al Dhafra region taking part in the "UAE Coder" programme
ABU DHABI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 23rd Feb, 2019) Sandooq Al Watan, the national initiative launched by prominent Emirati businessmen to support sustainable development projects that directly impact the UAE and its citizens, organised a graduation ceremony for the first batch of 500 students from the Al Dhafra region taking part in the "UAE Coder" programme.
The event was organised in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, ADNOC, and in partnership with the Department of Education and Knowledge,ADEK, in Ruwais City, and was attended by Lt. General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Chairman of Sandooq Al Watan and Ghannam Al Mazrouei, Director of the Human Capital and Administration Directorate.
The "UAE Coder" initiative seeks to inspire and empower students to be creative and hone their skills in advanced technologies, preparing them to deal with the job market of the future.
Lt. General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Chairman of Sandooq Al Watan, said: "Today marks a new achievement to be added to Sandooq Al Watan’s track record. We are committed to implementing our leadership’s vision in training the leaders of the future across all sectors.
"These talented graduates have the necessary knowledge and skills to adapt to the rapidly transforming job market of the future, and to realise the vision and directives of the UAE Government to build a sustainable economy for current and future generations to prosper.

Ghannam Al Mazrouei, Director of the Human Capital and Administration Directorate at ADNOC, said, "Today’s graduation ceremony, of the first batch of graduates from the ‘Emirati Coder’ programme, underlines the relentless efforts ADNOC is undertaking to empower talented young nationals and equip them with the right skills to embrace modern technologies.
"I am confident the graduates will put their newly acquired expertise and skills to good use and contribute to creating sustainable development in the Al Dhafra region, and building a knowledge economy in the UAE," Al Mazrouei added, while noting the "Emirati Coder" imitative supports the UAE Strategy for Artificial Intelligence – itself part of the UAE Centennial 2071 Plan.
In collaboration with its strategic partners, Sandooq Al Watan will now select a group of outstanding participants to move on to the second stage of the programme, which seeks to empower young people to help achieve the objectives of the UAE Centennial 2071 Plan by optimising the use of resources, technologies, and AI applications and establish the UAE as a technology leader.
The "UAE Coder" initiative resonates with ADNOC’s corporate social responsibility strategy, which seeks to build a sophisticated education system centred around Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, STEM, disciplines.
