Sharjah Chamber Of Commerce Explores Economic Opportunities In Morocco

An official trade delegation from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, SCCI, has explored ways to boost economic and trade relations with the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima in Morocco.
SHARJAH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 15th Oct, 2018) An official trade delegation from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, SCCI, has explored ways to boost economic and trade relations with the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima in Morocco.
The delegation reviewed opportunities for mutual investment in vital sectors both in Sharjah and Morocco. They also learned about opportunities of investment and exchange of experiences in Morocco during their visit to a number of economic and industrial enterprises in Tanger. At the end of the visit a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, was also signed to enhance joint cooperation.
Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of Sharjah's Chamber and head of the delegation, met with Mohamed El Yaacoubi, Governor of the Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region; and Omar Moro, President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of the region; to discuss ways of encouraging business community in Sharjah to invest in various economic fields.
Commenting on the partnership, Al Owais noted that the chamber is open to fully cooperate with the business community in Tanger to achieve common goals, which contributes to enhancing the historical brotherly ties between the UAE and Morocco.
He added that the cooperation comes as part of the directives of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
Moro, in turn, highlighted that Moroccan-Emirati relations have historically witnessed the signing of 60 cooperation agreements across different sectors such as agriculture, tourism and industry, as well as the involvement of UAE investment groups in development projects in northern Morocco.
The meeting was attended by senior officials from both sides.
