UAE Is Leading Country In Employing Communication Technology To Serve Community: Ministers, Officials

Ministers and officials participating in the International Government Communication Forum in Sharjah stated that the UAE has recognised, at an early stage, the importance of employing technology and developing human capacities, to benefit from new communication channels, achieve sustainable development and serve the community
ABU DHABI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 21st Mar, 2019) Ministers and officials participating in the International Government Communication Forum in Sharjah stated that the UAE has recognised, at an early stage, the importance of employing technology and developing human capacities, to benefit from new communication channels, achieve sustainable development and serve the community.
In exclusive statements to the Emirates news Agency, WAM, they added that the Emirati model of adopting new communication technologies is a successful example of fulfilling the needs of the community.
Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, highlighted the strategic importance of modern communication tools for the efforts of ministries and government authorities, to encourage positive and sustainable behavioural patterns.
He added that the forum has succeeded in developing communication channels between all segments of the community, and enhancing the country’s efforts to limit the effects of climate change, while highlighting the UAE’s excellence in harnessing modern technology to serve the community and achieve sustainable development.
He also pointed out that changing the behaviour of individuals in a positive was is a strategic goals of the UAE, and is part of its social development policy that was established five decades ago, while noting that the UAE’s experience is a leading model of adopting the principles of sustainability.
Marwan Jassim Al Sarkal, CEO of the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority, Shurooq, said that the forum succeeded, over eight consecutive years, in presenting and discussing influential topics, which will create radical transformations in government communication systems, in line with modern technological developments.
He added that the forum is a platform for the latest international practices in government communications, as well as for serving communities and individuals in all economic, social, environmental and cultural areas, while pointing out that Shurooq, is keeping pace with the latest communication tools, to foresee the future and achieve its strategic goals.
Mazen Nahawi, Communication and Media Solutions Expert, said that the forum is an ideal platform for presenting the latest ideas and initiatives, which can benefit from artificial intelligence and technological developments in public communications through analysing digital data and monitoring daily interactions, which will strengthen the role of government authorities in identifying and solving issues that concern the community.
