14 Unregistered Medical Stores Challaned

The City District Administration challaned and cancelled the licenses of 14 unregistered drug stores and clinics here on Monday

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Jan, 2018 ) :The City District Administration challaned and cancelled the licenses of 14 unregistered drug stores and clinics here on Monday. Talking to media persons, Additional Deputy Commissioner Saima Younas said that stores were challaned for selling sub-standard medicines, selling medicines without license, and not having cold storage that pose a serious threat to playing with precious lives.

The stores were challaned in Rawalpindi city,Taxila and Gujar Khan areas. She said that samples of substandard medicines had been taken for laboratory tests as it was found during the raids the stores were selling expired medicines as well as drugs.

The ADC said that according to new regulations, violators would face a fine of Rs 3 million and three years in jail for selling unregistered medicine.
