3-day Urs Of Sakhi Jam Datar To Start On Monday

Arrangements has been finalized for 747th Annual Urs of Saint Syed Ali Asghar Shah alias Sakhi Jam Datar starting from November 12.

NAWABSHAH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Nov, 2018 ) :Arrangements has been finalized for 747th Annual Urs of Saint Syed Ali Asghar Shah alias Sakhi Jam Datar starting from November 12.

The Urs Management Committee chaired by Assistant Commissioner Daur was formed for supervising the arrangements.

The Dargah (shrine) would be washed by the followers in early hours of Monday while formal inauguration would be done by DC Abrar Ahmed Jaffar and Sajada Nasheen Faqeer Naveed Hussain Vistro by laying floral wreath.

Strict security arrangements are made for the three day urs.

Different departments of district would set up stalls while livestock exhibition, kabbadi matches, horse race and traditional Sindhi wrestling (Malakhra) events to be arranged at the occasion.

A musical program and Sughar (folk poetry) conference to be held on the third day of the Urs where famous artists of Sindh would perform.

District administration had already, declared November 12 as general holiday throughout the district to mark the Urs.
