AIOU Begins Fresh Admissions From August 1

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd july,2016) : Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) would offer admissions in various disciplines for Semester Autumn 2016 from August 1. The last date for submission of admission forms will be September 5, said a news release issued here on Friday. As per admission's plan approved by the Vice Chancellor Dr. Shahid Siddiqui, the online admissions facility will also be available to facilitate the students. The students will be able to download admission forms of all programmes from the University's website www.aiou.edu.pk.
Besides this, there will be prospectus' sale points at its main campus, regional and coordinating offices throughout the country. The Admission Department has also been advised by the Vice- Chancellor to provide maximum facilities to the applicants in taking admission in their desired discipline as well as ensuring availability of admission forms at nearest places.
He also advised all Regional Directors to set up special camp at their offices for the guidance of the students. According to Director Admissions Syed Zia-ul-Hasnain, admission forms along with the required fee can be submitted at the nationwide branches of First Women Bank, Bank Alfalah, Allied Bank and at the designated branches of National Bank of Pakistan and Muslim Commercial Bank.
The detail of designated branches is available in the prospectuses as well as in the Regional Offices. Admission of Post Graduate Diploma would be offered in Islamic Studies (General), Islamic Studies (Quran and Tafseer), Shari'ah, Chemistry (Classes will be held in Islamanbad only), Iqbal Studies, Urdu, Mass Communication and Pakistani Languages and Literature.
The admissions of MS/M.Phil will be offered in Islamic Studies (General), Islamic Studies (Quran and Tafseer), Arabic, Chemistry, Community Health and Nutrition, Iqbal Studies and Mass Communication.
The admission of M.Sc will include in Economics, Pakistan Studies, Gender and Women Studies, Statistics, Bridging Semester for M.Sc. Statistics, the admissions of M.Com (Accounting and Finance) would also be offered.
Admissions of MBA will be offered in Human Resource Management, Marketing, IT, Banking and Finance and Rural Management. The admissions of Master would be offered in Arabic, Islamic Studies and urdu while the admissions of Postgraduate Diploma would be offered in Gender and Women Studies, Human Resource Management, Dietetics for Dieticians and Nutrition for Physicians.
The admissions of Associate Degree is being offered in Tourism Management, Hotel Management, Hospital Management, Accounting and Finance, Banking and Finance, Human Resource Management, IT Management and Marketing Management.
Under Teacher Training Programme, the admissions of PTC programme is also being offered. Director Admission said that under BA program, BA (General), B.Com, Mass Communication, BLIS, BS programme (four year) and BS (Computer Science and Intermediate admissions will include FA (General), I.Com, FA (Dars-e-Nizami).
Matric, short term educational programmes and French online admissions will also be offered in the forthcoming semester.
