Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Dr Hasan Askari on Wednesday expressed a deep sense of sorrow and grief over the death of famous humour writer Mushtaq Ahmed Yusufi.

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Jun, 2018 ) :Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Dr Hasan Askari on Wednesday expressed a deep sense of sorrow and grief over the death of famous humour writer Mushtaq Ahmed Yusufi.

He extended sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in peace.

He paid tributes to the role of Mushtaq Ahmed Yusufi in the field of humour writing and said that he had given new dimension to humour writing with his unique style.

With his death, a beautiful phase of urdu humour writing had ended, he added.

"Mushtaq Ahmed Yusufi will forever live in our hearts due to his writings and his services in Urdu literature especially in the field of humour writing that will always be remembered," concluded the chief minister.
