COAS Visits Civil Hospital, BHC, CMH Quetta

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th August, 2016) : Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif Monday visited Civil Hospital, Balochistan High Court (BHC) and Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Quetta following blast in the city's major hospital. The COAS during visit to Civil Hospital, which had witnessed a high intensity blast, inquired about the condition of the injured who were under treatment at various sections of the hospital.
He directed the authorities to provide best medical care to those admitted at the hospital. The COAS also visited Balochistan High Court and offered condolences to chief justice Balochistan and the panel of judges, Director General Inter-Service Public Relations Lt Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa said in a Tweet message. Later, the COAS paid a detailed visit to CMH where a number of injured were hospitalized in critical conditions.
He went around various blocks of the hospital and inquired after the health of the blast victims. Commander Southern Command Lieutenant General Amir Riaz received the Army Chief upon arrival. Earlier, Lieutenant General Amir Riaz visited Civil hospital and reviewed relief activities underway. According to the APP's reporter in Quetta, the Commander Southern Command on the accession said that the army and law enforcement agencies were standing along with the lawyers community in this difficult situation. Extremists are weak to the core and forces would defeat them at every cost, he said adding that targeting innocent citizens was extremely sad however, terrorists would never win against the determination of the entire nation.
