Cricketers, Politicians Express Jubilation On Team's Top Position In Test Ranking

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th August, 2016) : The cricketers, politicians, sports journalists and nazims besides people of every walk of life Wednesday expressed jubilation on attaining top position in the Test ranking by team green and termed it a historic day for country's cricket. Member Provincial Assembly, Rushad Khan talking to APP said, players and management of Pakistan Cricket board (PCB) deserved full credit and appreciations for achieving the status of becoming the top cricket team in Test rankings in the world.
"It is a great pride and honour for the nation," he maintained. The PML-N leader said, this great achievement was possible due to hard work, dedication, professionalism of players, training of coaches and effective supervision of the management. Congratulating Misbah for becoming the first Pakistani captain to inspire his side to the top of the Test rankings, Rushad Khan said the whole nation was very happy over the performance of the team green, saying Misbah has lead from the front by excellently fought the team despite difficult challenges in the past. Rushad said there was no greater feelings than to achieve the number one test ranking in the most traditional and purest format of the sport and applauded the whole team for this historic success. He expressed the hope that team will continue to perform with more dedication and professional commitment in all three formats in future and achieves more laurels for the country.
Senior sports journalist, Ejaz Ahmed also appreciated the historic success of the team, saying due to collective efforts of the players we able to become the No.1 test team in test rankings. Terming leveling of test series against England at their home country is a big achievement of the Misbah's party, Ejaz Khan said had the green shirts played with sensibility at the third test at Edgbaston, we could have achieved serious win after a long time.
However, he said, winning and losing as part of the game and expressed the hope that the green shirts would give tough time to England in the five ODIs starting from today. Nazim, Village Council Dheri Mian Ishaq Nowshera, Bahadar Khan also congratulated Pakistan on achieving the number one Test ranking, saying Misbah ul Haq and his side deserve full appreciations for achieving this remarkable victory. This historic achievement reflected the mental toughness and high professionalism of players besides quality of cricket played by Pakistan cricket team. Emerging cricketer, Zeshan Khan also hailed the team's victory, saying the captain Misbah played a key role to achieve status of becoming the top test team in world.
