Educational Activities Resumed In North Waziristan

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Jan, 2017 ) : Educational activities have been resumed in North Waziristan Agency after the return of internally displaced persons (IDPs). With the resumption of educational activities, the students are also actively pursuing their education with a new vigour, a private news channel reported.
The IDPs were of the view that they did not want their children to remain deprived of education. They said the circumstances in North Waziristan before operation Zarb-e-Azb, youth were indulging towards violent activities instead of focusing on their education.
However, they said, they had learned the lesson and they would not allow the return of that dark period to save their future generations. That was the reason, all the parents get ready their children early in the morning for the school.
A student of Governor Model School Miranshah said he realised the importance of education during his life of displacement. "We faced a lot of difficulties after displacement from our native areas.
The government should open more schools and colleges like Governor Model School and cadet college to ensure bright future of new generation," he said. Another student said she was very happy to resume her education after returning his village.
"I want to become doctor in future and serve humanity. I am greatly enjoying my education now," she said. The students and their parents in North Waziristan are determined to leave no stone unturned to develop the region and bring it at par with other areas of the country.
