Fatima Jinnah Women University Rawalpindi Arranges Panel Discussion To Celebrate Intl Women Day

Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU), Department of Gender Studies and Sociology here on Friday organized a panel discussion in connection with International Women's Day to acknowledge the struggle and achievements of Pakistani women who participated in every field of life and played their role for the development of the country.
RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 09th Mar, 2018 ) :Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU), Department of Gender Studies and Sociology here on Friday organized a panel discussion in connection with International Women's Day to acknowledge the struggle and achievements of Pakistani women who participated in every field of life and played their role for the development of the country.
Vice-Chancellor, FJWU Dr. Samina Amin Qadir also attended the panel discussion. The guest speakers on the occasion highlighted the current issues and challenges, the Pakistani women being faced in different fields of life.
The VC said, the International Women Day is celebrated worldwide to highlight issues of women and call for gender parity. She said that education creates awareness particularly among women about their rights and education is also a strong base for development of sustainable societies, economic and social justice.
Dr. Samina Amin Qadir said that International Women Day is all about feeling women, realize their worth and giving them a boost to achieve as per their actual potential. On this day, the world unites to appreciate their courage to cross all the hurdles and make such tremendous improvement in every field of life.
The guest speakers enlightened the students to understand the issues and coping mechanism to deal with various situations. Dr. Sobia Masood, Assistant professor NIP, QAU, Ms. Ambreen Ajaib, Bedari, Ms.
Sadaf Raza, Resarcher and Trainer and Dr. Rukhsana Hassan, Assistant Prof. FJWU took part in the discussion and shared their life achievements and educated the students, how they can tackle with problems and make themselves more strong.
