GB Govt Striving For Socio-economic Uplift Of Region: MLA

Member Gilgit Baltistan Legislative Assembly and Parliamentary Secretary Health, Barkat Jamil has said that the provincial government was striving for the socio-economic development of the region.

Talking to media on Tuesday, he said secretary health and all the DHOs of districts of Gilgit Baltistan have been instructed to ensure that there is no paucity of medicines in any hospital of Gilgit Baltistan besides improved service delivery.
He warned of strict action against those who were found avoiding duty.
The GB parliamentary secretary said due to good policies of provincial government, the development works in all districts of Gilgit Baltistan were in progress smoothly.
Currently, he added many development projects in progress in Astore district too, which would be completed within stipulated time.
He further said that he would continue with same dedication for the socio-economic uplift of masses who reposed trust in him.
He said that Astore district was a gate way for the region of Gilgit Baltistan due to its scenic beauty, frequented by deluge of visitors every year.
