Govt To See Cases Of Officials Having Dual Nationality: AGP

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Dec, 2018 ) :Attorney General of Pakistan (AGP), Advocate Anwar Mansoor Khan Sunday said the government would see the cases regarding deployment of officials having dual nationality in different institutions.

Any dual national official would not be deployed to any sensitive institution, he stated talking to a private news channel.

The media misperceived the judgment of the apex court regarding dual nationality, he said.

Commenting on pending cases in courts, the AGP said there was shortage of funds and judges due to which the person seeking justice had to wait too long for the outcome of the case.

He said the concerned ministry was working on it and trying to make some amendment in laws so that precious time of the petitioner could be saved.

To a question, Anwar said necessary changes were being made in laws dealing with arbitration. The methodology of mediation was being introduced to save time and money.

In Punjab, the mediation method had proved successful, he said, adding we could not achieve success in Sindh but results were yielded from Punjab areas, he added.
