Health Authority Claims To Have Achieved Anti-polio Vaccination Target

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Aug, 2018 ) :District Health Authority Sunday claimed to have achieved polio vaccination target set for the entire district under a five-day drive which concluded on August 11.

Talking to APP, Incharge Anti Polio drive, Ch Muhammad Hussain said over 840,000 children, below five years age, were administered anti-polio drops during the campaign.

Hussain said that the five-day anti-polio campaign which started in the entire district on August 6 was suspended for one day on Tuesday due to heavy rain showers.

He informed that 2739 teams including 2333 mobile health teams , 496 area incharges 287 fixed points,119 transit points and 221 Union council medical officers participated in the drive to complete the task of immunization.

He told that CEO Health Dr MuhammadKhalid monitored the campaign and visited variousareas to inspect the working of polio teams.
