HESCO LS Caught Red Handed While Receiving Bribe

MATIARI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Jan, 2017 ) : A team of Federal Investigation Agency apprehended a line superintendent of Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) while receiving bribe from a consumer.
According to details, FIA Inspector Munir Shaikh along with civil judge Irfan Khawaja conducted raid at HESCO subdivision office and caught line superintendent Qurban Soomro red handed while receiving Rs 10,000 as bribe from Ajaz Memon, a consumer, on Tuesday.
The complainant Ajaz Memon informed the media persons that Qurban Soomro was demanding Rs 100,000 for installation of 6 electricity polls on agriculture land saying that despite of approval of HESCO chief the said LS was using delaying tactics and demanding bribe.
He said due to shortage of water and losses to crops he was compelled to pay Rs 40,000 to Qurban Soomro in installments and paid him Rs 10,000 the previous day and handing him Rs. 10,000 more while remaining amount would have to be paid after installation of the polls.
FIA officials while talking to the media persons said that corruption would not be tolerated at any cost and strict action would be taken against the corrupt elements. They said that due legal action would be taken against the accused after investigation.
