IIU Announces Publication Of "Lasaniyat: Aik Jame Taaruf"

ISLAMABAD, Oct 7 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Oct, 2022 ) :The Faculty of Languages and Literature, International Islamic University (IIU) has announced the publication of Lisaniyat: Aik Jame Taaruf (Linguistics: A complete introduction) by the prestigious Oxford University Press.

The book was written by Dr. Muhammad Sheeraz Dasti (Chair, Center for Language Teaching, IIU), Mr. Muhammad Numan (Lecturer, Al-Qadir University/ graduate of the FLL, IIU), Dr. Bibi Ameena (Incharge, Female Programs, FLL, IIU), and Dr. Liaqat Iqbal (Chair, Department of English, Abdul Wali Khan University, Mardan/graduate of FLL, IIU).

This seminal work addresses the needs of students and scholars in linguistics of Pakistani languages, particularly urdu, said a news release issued here.

The book covers all core as well as extra-linguistic areas and include rarely discussed topics such as clinical linguistics, eco-linguistics and systemic functional linguistics.
