Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Releases 114,000 Cusecs Water

The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Saturday released 114,000 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 141,400 cusecs.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Apr, 2018 ) :The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Saturday released 114,000 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 141,400 cusecs.
According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1398.62 feet, which was 18.62 feet higher than its dead level of 1,380 feet. Water inflow in the dam was recorded as 35,000 cusecs while outflow as 22,000 cusecs.
The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1092.70 feet, which was 52.70 feet higher than its dead level of 1,040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 42,400 cusecs and 28,000 cusecs respectively.
The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 59,900, 29,500 and 5,900 cusecs respectively. Similarly from the Kabul River, 43,200 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 12,800 cusecs from the Chenab River at Marala.
