Justice Hani recuses himself from hearing Orange Line Train case

ISLAMABAD, Jan 2 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 02nd Jan, 2017 ) : Justice Amir Hani Muslim on Monday recused himself from the Supreme Court bench hearing the Punjab government's appeal against the Lahore High Court decision ordering to halt the construction of Orange Line Metro Train project around 11 heritage sites in Lahore.

After Justice Hani's recusal, the hearing of the appeal was adjourned for an indefinite period. At the outset of hearing, Justice Hani remarked that he could not sit in the bench hearing the case due to 'personal reasons'. The bench referred the case to the Chief Justice for formation of a new bench and adjourned the hearing.
