LWMC releases cleanliness plan for Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH)

Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) Wednesday released its special cleanliness plan on the sacred occasion of Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH)

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Nov, 2017 ) :Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) Wednesday released its special cleanliness plan on the sacred occasion of Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH).

Its objective is to ensure waste-free surroundings in the city, especially along 100 major routes of processions. According to a spokesman for the LWMC, the company had issued a duty roaster of some 1,000 dedicated workers including officers, who would perform duties in three shifts during 11 and 12 Rabbiul Awwal.

According to the plan, sanitary crew along with machinery will be deployed at procession's routes on town levels. Besides manual sweeping, mechanical sweeping and washing of the major roads where processions are expected will be ensured earlier.

At the major procession routes, timely emptying of waste containers would also be ensured. In this regard, instructions have been issued to Albayrak and OzPak, both Turkish companies. This cleanliness plan also includes the washing of city's major mosques and sprinkling of water and liming of pavements in order to give a neat and clean look to the city.

The LWMC would especially focus on Walled City, Shahdara, Thokar Niaz Baig, Jallo Mor, islam Pura, LDA Avenue, Railway Station, Nishtar Town and Chungi Amr Sadhu. Managing Director LWMC Bilal Mustafa Syed, Deputy General Manager Operations Asif Iqbal, Senior Manager Operations Sohail Malik, Murtaza Chaudhry and other officers will remain in field to supervise the operations and ensure timely implementation of the plan.

Further, Chairman LWMC Col (Rtd) Mubashir Javed and MD LWMC Bilal Mustafa Syed has expressed best wishes for all the Lahorites on this holy occasion. They have requested the communities to observe cautions regarding cleanliness of overall city while celebrating Eid Miladun Nabi with traditional spirit and zest.

According to company's spokesperson, though this cleanliness plan focuses on 11th-12th Rabiul Awwal, but in actual it has been chalked out for the whole month of Rabbiul Awwal keeping in view its religious significance so that citizens may observe their sacred occasion in a waste-free environment.
