Meeting Of Cabinet Sub-Committee On Law & Order Held

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 04th Nov, 2016 ) : Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif presided over a meeting of Cabinet Sub-Committee on Law and Order, here Friday, which reviewed in detail the steps being taken for the protection of life and property of the citizens and overall law and order situation.
The Chief Minister gave "Shahbash" to Cabinet Sub-Committee, Police and Administration on ensuring law and order atmosphere during Muharram-ul-Haram and the processions last days. He said that all concerned institutions and departments ensured environment of law and order during Muharram-ul-Haram by performing their duties in an active manner.
He said that the state institutions also performed their duties efficiently during protests in previous days and did not allow anyone to create hurdle in the daily routine of the people, upon which, he congratulated Cabinet Subcommittee on Law and Order, Police and Administration for ensuring the atmosphere of public peace.
He said that with the blessings of Allah Almighty and due to their hard work, no untoward incident occurred during Muharram-ul-Haram and their role was appreciable on performing their duty of protection of life and property of the people efficiently.
Shehbaz Sharif said that protection of life and property of the people was basic responsibility of the state and no effort should be spared in ensuring the supremacy of law and justice. He said that if there would be peace, Pakistan would move forward and people wanted peace in the country and no hindrance in their routine matters.
He directed indiscrimination action against those taking law in their hand and said that no one would be allowed to take law in ones hand. He said that encouragement of employees and the institutions had resulted in improvement of the performance of the departments.
Provincial Ministers Rana Sanaullah, Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman, Rana Mashhood, Malik Nadeem Kamran, Bilal Yasin, MNA Hamza Shehbaz, Spokesman Punjab government Zaeem Hussain Qadri, Special Assistant Rana Maqbool Ahmed, Inspector General Police, Secretaries of concerned departments, police officials and senior officers of law enforcement agencies attended the meeting while Divisional Commissioners, RPOs, DCOs and DPOs participated in the meeting through video link from their respective districts.
