Minister Gandapur Visits Circle Office Of Public Health Engineering Department

D.I.KHAN, Jun 9 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Jun, 2019 ) :Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Sardar Ali Amin Khan Gandapur here on Sunday visited circle office of Public Health Engineering Department.

On this occasion, he chaired a consultative meeting which was attended by SE Public Health D I Khan Circle Masood ur Rehman Khan, Executive Engineer Walayatullah Mehsud, SDO Yousaf Khan Alizai and other officials of the department. During the meeting, the minister informed the SE Public Health regarding his proposals about instant provision of funds to new water supply schemes, revival of non-functional schemes and other development projects.

Talking to media after the meeting, the federal minister said that improvement of sewerage system of the city, water supply schemes in NA 38 and their effective monitoring were among his priorities for which marathon consultative session was held with concerned officials.

He told that drinking water would be provided to the entire population of the area irrespective of individual's monopoly on water supply schemes.

He said that land would be acquired locally for public health tube wells wherever needed by the population of the concerned area. The minister also told that the officials concerned have been directed to prepare estimates for conversion of tube wells to solar system. He also told that the use of drinking water for irrigation purposes would be strictly banned.

Ali Amin Gandapur said that people would feel visible change in the district regarding education, health, water supply and sewerage. All vacancies of class four would be filled with local people on merit by following quota of retiring employees of the department, the minister expressed.
