Opening Of Kartarpur Corridor Clear Statement Of Peace By Pakistan: Consul General

Consul General of Pakistan in Toronto, Imran Siddiqi on Tuesday said that the opening of Darbar Sahib Kartarpur was a clear statement of peace by Pakistan and the challenges notwithstanding, Pakistan would continue to lead this mission of peace.
He was speaking as a chief guest at celebrations for the opening of Darbar Sahib Kartarpur at Toronto Sikh Spiritual Centre, arranged by the Ontario Gurudwara Committee, Ontario Sikh Council, and the representatives of Sharoomni Akal Takht, a message reaching here said.
The Consul General urged Canadian Sikhs to raise awareness about this heritage among all Canadians particularly the younger generation Sikhs enabling them to visit Pakistan for religious as well as cultural purposes.
The event was opened after Keertan. Bhai ji Amarjeet Singh, Spokesman of the Gurudwara Committee made opening remarks in which he thanked Prime Minister Imran Khan for taking the initiative of opening Kartarput Crossing which was "like a dream of the Sikhs worldwide for the last seven decades".
Bhai ji also praised Chief of Army Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa for his support of the initiative. Other speakers appreciated the efforts of the Government of Pakistan for taking good care of Sikh shrines in Pakistan.
At the end of the event, Bhai ji Amarjeet presented crystal trophies for the Prime Minister and the COAS and requested the CG to pass them on to destination.
