Pakistan-French Tour Operators Strong Links Needed To Improve Ties In Tourism

A 12-member delegation comprising prominent tour operators from France Monday visited Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) headquarters and discussed avenues of cooperation in tourism.

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Sep, 2018 ) :A 12-member delegation comprising prominent tour operators from France Monday visited Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) headquarters and discussed avenues of cooperation in tourism.

PTDC General Manager Ali Akbar Malik addressing the delegation in a meeting said Pakistan and France have relations since long and to further strengthen these ties, promotion of bilateral tourism should be focused.

In order to promote the tourism, solid links should be established among the tour operators of both the countries and attractive tour packages should also be introduced, he added.

Pakistan is a peaceful country where the tourism is being promoted and more facilities are being provided to the tourists. The time is not far when the world will feel that Pakistan is truly a paradise. Awareness about tourism is being raised among the private sector as well as the local communities so that high quality facilities could be provided to the foreign and domestic tourists.

Efforts are being made to enhance the interest of the tourists through highlighting regional development and local culture of different areas.

Brochures will be prepared in French language for the facilitation of French citizens and French language option will also be available at PTDC's website.

The meeting was attended by Manager Flashman's Ashfaq Ahmed Loothar, Manager Publicity Mukhtar Ali, Manager Accounts, Adil Zaid and Incharge Pakistan Tours Ltd Arshad Ali.

French Tour Operator Dominique Andre on the occasion said French people like Pakistani food. A large number of French tourists visit different countries every year and if tour packages of Pakistan are introduced and promoted among them, Pakistan can be made a tourist attractive destination for them.

New tour packages should be formulated besides enhancing cooperation among the tour operators of both the countries to achieve the target. If the tour operators of Pakistan and its national tourism organizations try to promote tourism destinations of Pakistan through mobile apps, French language and social media, then, French tourists' interest towards Pakistan can be enhanced considerably.

Other members of the delegation including Danis Ghambon, Francoise Paule, Lionel Pavel, Yao Kexin, Valentine Aurore, Marie Annick, Jean-Francois Christian, Aissa Smatti and Judith Annick also spoke andpresented their proposals for the promotion of tourism. Later, the delegationwas also taken to prominent tourist places of the twin cities.
