Pakistani Women Entrepreneurs Visiting UK To Develop Business

ISLAMABAD, Dec 1 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 01st Dec, 2016 ) : A ten-member delegation of Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WCCI) is visiting UK to develop business linkages with the British business community and to enhance bilateral commercial relations between the two country, The delegation led by the founder Chairperson of WCCI, Dr Shehla Javed Akram called on Syed Ibne Abbas, Pakistan High Commissioner to the UK, a message received here Thursday said.
The delegation informed the high commissioner that the main purpose of the visit was to develop business linkages with the British business community so as to enhance bilateral commercial relations between the two countries.
The high commissioner extended a warm welcome to the delegation and assured of his cooperation to the WCCI delegates to make their visit successful.
He was especially delighted to see that an all female trade delegation has taken an initiative which would go a long way in improving the perception about Pakistan and enhancing trade volumes between the two countries.
On the invitation of the high commissioner, the delegates also attended a cultural evening at the high commission. During their visit from 28th November to 3rd December 2016, the delegates will be meeting with various business chambers in the UK.
They are representing textile, pharmaceutical, food and education sectors. The business delegates are: Dr. Shehla Javed Akram, Founder President WCCI, Faiza Amjad, Salma Mudassar, Monica Khalid Paracha, Shazia Ijaz, Humairah Adeel, Sumbaleen Usman, Tahira Ali, Sadia Elkamal, and Fazeela Jahangir.
