PFA Seals Four Food Points, Imposes Fine

Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has sealed four food points in Sahiwal and its adjourning areas over using sub-standard material and poor cleanliness arrangements

SAHIWAL, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2021 ) :Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has sealed four food points in Sahiwal and its adjourning areas over using sub-standard material and poor cleanliness arrangements.

A PFA spokesperson said on Thursday, the PFA teams conducted operations throughout the district and checked various food points and imposes fine of Rs 90,000 on four food points over poor cleanliness management.

A fine of Rs 30,000 each had been imposed on two sweet shops over using unhealthy food colors.

The PFA team imposed fine of Rs 15,000 on honey unit over finding insects in the production area of the honey unit and Rs 15,000 over poor cleanliness.

The every small and big food related business was being checked on daily basis and the PFA was always striving to ensure healthy food for the people,the spokesperson concluded.
