Progressive, Equitable Education System Imperative To Motivate Women In Development Of Society: MPA

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Mar, 2018 ) :Progressive, balanced and equitable education system is imperative to motivate women to contribute their productive role in the overall development of society.

This was stated by Dr Najma Afzal MPA while addressing a seminar in connection with World Women Day under the aegis of Faisalabad Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FWCCI). She said that mainstreaming of women is must to make Pakistan economically stronger and in this connection man and women irrespective of their gender must be given equal representation in all fields of life.

She claimed that women are oppressed in the society and their participation in economy will help male members of the society who are complaining of being overloaded to share their burden with the females.

She appreciated the revolutionary steps taken by the Punjab Government for the mainstreaming of women and said that this would also dispel the apprehensions of sense of deprivation among the women folk.

She also appreciated the efforts of Robeena Amjad President FWCCI for organizing a very impressive event with a focus to bring into limelight the efforts of women entrepreneurs in the society. She also mentioned the iconic figures of women rights including Asma Jahangir, Arfa Karim and Malala Yousafzai who are acknowledged for their service not only within the country but also across the globe.

Professor Dr. Noureen Aziz Qureshi Vice Chancellor Government College Women University, Dr. Habib Aslam Ghaba, President FWCCI Robeena Amjad and others also spoke on the occasion. Gifts were also presented to the speakers of the function on behalf of Sitara Group. APP/aar/ia/zqr
